History written by the victors?

The BBC are very proud to announce a brand spanking new history portal for Scotland  www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/history please take a moment to compare and contrast with the English history portal www.bbc.co.uk/england/history.

The BBC have produced two epic series covering  Scottish history in the past 12 months:  The five part A history of Scotland with another series on the way, Scotland’s Clans – which is in its second series. Not to mention The Scots Who Made the Modern World etc

Constituency sizes…

Another raw deal for the English.

From Wikipedia (so yes it could be wrong – but it’s probably not far wrong):

The average constituency size is approximately 74,000 registered voters, but they vary in size from the smallest, Na h-Eileanan an Iar – 22,200 voters, to the largest – The Isle of Wight approx. 110,000 voters.

So when it comes to democratic representation in the house of commons the vote of an uber Scot from “Na h-Eileanan an Iar” is worth nearly 5 times as much as that of an English vassal from of the Isle_of_Wight.
