History written by the victors?

The BBC are very proud to announce a brand spanking new history portal for Scotland www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/history please take a moment to compare and contrast with the English history portal www.bbc.co.uk/england/history.
The BBC have produced two epic series covering Scottish history in the past 12 months: The five part A history of Scotland with another series on the way, Scotland’s Clans – which is in its second series. Not to mention The Scots Who Made the Modern World etc
What about England?

I didn’t listen to PMQ’s today as it has a tendency to ruin my whole day. But I read about it on the Calling England blog.
Graham Brady the Conservative MP for Altrincham and Sale asked the following question:

Constituency sizes…
by Wyrdtimes on August 28, 2009 in britishness
Another raw deal for the English.
From Wikipedia (so yes it could be wrong – but it’s probably not far wrong):
The average constituency size is approximately 74,000 registered voters, but they vary in size from the smallest, Na h-Eileanan an Iar – 22,200 voters, to the largest – The Isle of Wight approx. 110,000 voters.
So when it comes to democratic representation in the house of commons the vote of an uber Scot from “Na h-Eileanan an Iar” is worth nearly 5 times as much as that of an English vassal from of the Isle_of_Wight.
